Nasal turbinate hypertrophy may be caused by chronic inflammation, structural abnormalities, etc. It can be treated by medication, physical therapy, and surgery. 1. Chronic inflammation: (1) Medication:For turbinate hypertrophy caused by inflammatory stimuli such as vasomotor rhinitis and drug rhinitis, nasal decongestants such as naphazoline hydrochloride nasal drops and glucocorticosteroids such as beclomethasone propionate nasal aerosol can be used as prescribed by the doctor to improve ventilation. (2) Physical therapy: If the drug treatment is not satisfactory, physical therapy can be given as appropriate, such as lower turbinate electrocautery, electrocoagulation, laser and other treatments. (2) Structural abnormality: Congenital or acquired deviated nasal septum, middle turbinate and other structural abnormalities leading to turbinate hypertrophy, surgical treatment is feasible, such as partial resection of the inferior turbinate, low-temperature radiofrequency ablation and so on. It is recommended to consult a doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions.
