The platelet test consists of two parts, one is the platelet count test, which is often done through routine blood tests and generally costs about$20; the other part of the test is the platelet function test, which commonly has the platelet aggregation function test and generally costs about$50, for a total cost of about$70 for the platelet test. In different hospitals and different regions, the price will vary somewhat. The platelet count test can help to understand whether the number of platelets in a patient’s body is increasing or decreasing, thus providing some basis for diagnosing and treating the disease. A routine blood test reveals an abnormally low platelet count and a normal red blood cell count and white blood cell count, the most common cause of this disease is immune thrombocytopenia. A better treatment effect can often be achieved by oral glucocorticoids. If platelet function tests reveal a decrease in platelet aggregation capacity, this condition is commonly associated with a disease called platelet anemia, for which there is often no specific treatment and only regular platelet transfusions can be given.
