Best treatment for anterior mediastinal nodes

Anterior mediastinal nodules can be treated surgically; there is no optimal treatment and the treatment plan should be tailored to the specific condition.
Some patients may have nodular lesions caused by lymphoid tissue hyperplasia or mediastinal lymphoma. In this case, a mediastinoscopic or bronchoscopic puncture biopsy can be performed to determine the specific nature of the nodules to guide subsequent treatment.
The mediastinum is divided into the anterior, middle and posterior mediastinum. The anterosuperior mediastinum is a specialized portion of the mediastinum, i.e., all lesions in the anterosuperior mediastinum portion of the mediastinum may manifest as anterosuperior mediastinal nodules. Therefore, patients should take appropriate therapeutic measures after determining the nature of the nodule. Clinically, it is commonly seen as a thymoma with thymic tissue or incomplete degeneration, and in some patients it may also be a retrosternal goiter, which can usually be removed by minimally invasive surgery.
If the nodule is large in size and meets the indications for surgery, it is recommended to choose surgical treatment according to the doctor’s guidance.
