Most children are at risk of falling out of bed when they are growing up, so what should parents do when it happens? First of all, do not pick up the child at the first time, so as not to cause unnecessary secondary injuries. You need to wait and watch for a few dozen seconds to observe the contents of the main: 1. the part of the ground, is the forehead and face or the back of the head, or other parts of the body? General face down fall it’s relatively small risk; 2. there is no active bleeding, if found to have active bleeding, the need for timely compression to stop bleeding, to find a clean gauze or dressings to cover the bleeding site; 3. there is no limb activity disorder, observation of one side of the limb, or a single limb activity disorder, do not artificially help the child’s activities, to prevent further aggravation of the injury; if there are the above symptoms, seek medical attention in time. If there are any of the above symptoms, consult a doctor promptly. Then gently pick up the child, observe whether there is any abnormal performance of the nervous system, whether there is drowsiness, screaming, vomiting, abnormal movements, persistent crying, whether there is abnormal liquid outflow from the nose and ears, and so on, if you find that there are these problems, you need to be sent to the hospital in a timely manner. If none of the above symptoms are present, observe the site of the injury for hematoma, if so, apply cold compresses within 48 hours, especially during the first 24 hours, 3 times a day for 10-15 minutes each time, and apply localized hot compresses to promote the absorption of the hematoma after 48 hours. It is important to keep the child under observation for 48 hours, avoiding strenuous exercise and artificial shaking of the child by the parents during the observation period. For most families, the height of the bed is usually around 50-60cm, and babies are usually not particularly seriously damaged. Babies within one year of age have a cushion inside the skull due to the unclosed fontanel, so the chances of detecting intracranial hemorrhage are also relatively low.
