If there is good local wound recovery, no redness, no swelling, no secretion, and no sign of infection after removing the plate, you can go to work after removing the stitches in 2 weeks after the operation. If there is localized redness and swelling of the skin, infection, no secretion, after regular dressing change, usually 3~4 weeks can be recovered. If there is secretion and serious infection, in addition to changing medicine and disinfection, antibiotics need to be applied, usually 5~6 weeks to recover.
Because after removing the plate, there will be holes for screws on the bone, and the holes cause the strength of the bone to decrease, so its strenuous activities should be avoided for at least 3 months after the operation.
