Can Enhanced CT Rule Out Bronchial Cancer

Enhanced CT cannot exclude bronchial cancer.
Enhanced CT is based on CT scanning, and focused examination is carried out after intravenous injection of contrast agent for suspicious areas. If the tumor is large, irregular shape of the mass can often be seen, and there may be burrs at the edges, but the definitive diagnosis needs to be based on histopathological biopsy.
For the early stage of bronchial carcinoma with small diameter, which only shows mild thickening of the wall or only mucosal thickening and submucosal infiltration, the lesion may not be detected after enhanced CT, and a definite diagnosis may need bronchoscopy, and bronchial carcinoma should be clarified through histopathological biopsy.
Although enhanced CT cannot exclude bronchial carcinoma, it has a great auxiliary diagnostic role in the diagnosis of bronchial carcinoma.
