There is no optimal rehabilitation program after a fracture of the ankle joint. It is usually divided into early, mid, and late rehabilitation according to the patient’s recovery time, and muscle strength training and joint mobility training can be performed. 1. Early recovery (1) 0~4 weeks after surgery, move the toes to prevent tissue contracture, and start leg and hip joint muscle training such as straight leg raising training, knee flexion training, extension training, etc. (2) Start active joint mobility training such as active flexion and extension and internal and external turning of the ankle joint at 2~4 weeks after surgery, to reach the maximum within the tolerable pain range, passive flexion and internal and external turning of the ankle joint can be carried out, to increase the joint mobility of the ankle joint. 2. Mid-rehabilitation: 4~8 weeks after surgery, start ankle weight-bearing training, such as striding exercises, strengthening of ankle muscles, resistance hooking and internal/external turning training. 3. Late stage of rehabilitation: after 8 weeks after surgery, strengthen the ankle joint and lower limb muscle strength training, such as static squatting training, heel lifting training, etc., and gradually return to the normal state. The rehabilitation of ankle fracture should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time, and cooperate with the doctor for early recovery.
