In vitro fertilization (IVF) is an artificial technique in which an egg is removed from a woman’s ovary, fertilized with sperm outside the body, and cultured for 3-5 days to develop into a blastocyst. This embryo is then transferred to the woman’s uterine cavity, where it will be implanted and develop into a fetus, a process known as IVF. IVF technology is mainly used for patients with tubal infertility, unexplained infertility, endometriosis, male factor infertility, ovulation abnormalities, or cervical factor infertility, etc. If there is no way to conceive naturally through other conventional methods, IVF can be used to allow couples to have their own offspring.
