Can you wear glasses that are lower than your prescription for nearsightedness?

It is not generally recommended to wear glasses that are lower than your nearsightedness. Myopia patients need to wear the right prescription glasses to see clearly.
If a myopic patient wears glasses that are lower than his/her myopic prescription, he/she will still not be able to see clearly. In order to see clearly, he/she will need to regulate his/her eye ciliary muscles more, which will increase eye fatigue, and may result in a further increase in myopic prescription.
Only when myopic patients wear glasses with the right prescription, the regulation of the eyes is normal, which can avoid fatigue and other discomforts, and accordingly can prevent and control the further growth of myopia to a certain extent.
Therefore, when patients find that the prescription of glasses is on the low side, it is not recommended to continue to wear them, and they need to consult a doctor for examination in time and wear glasses of the right prescription.
