What’s going on with the pain in the leg and wrist?

The ankle is located at the wrist of the leg and consists of the distal tibia, the lower fibula and the talus. Ankle pain can be caused by trauma or inflammation of the tissues that make up the ankle joint. For example, trauma, osteoarthritis, osteochondroma and so on.
1. Trauma: acute injury such as ankle sprain, ankle fracture, etc.; chronic injury is common in the sequelae of trauma such as talus necrosis, which will cause chronic pain.
2. Osteoarthritis: It is a chronic disease that progresses gradually. If inflammation occurs when the ankle is stimulated by stress for a long period of time, the typical symptom is pain in the ankle, which is often accompanied by stiffness of the joints and limping.
3. Osteochondroma: belongs to benign bone and joint tumors, belongs to autosomal dominant hereditary disease, the most important sign and symptom is multiple bony masses, which can be accompanied by ankle pain and bone deformity when it occurs near the ankle joint.
Environmental factors such as cold and dampness; certain medications such as niacin and cyclosporine can increase the risk of gout; quinolones can cause inflammation of the Achilles tendon and so on can induce ankle pain. If ankle pain and swelling are obvious, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible.
