What does hbsab positive mean?

Positive hbsab means positive hepatitis B surface antibody, which is a protective antibody that is beneficial to the body. Hepatitis B surface antibody is an antibody produced by the hepatitis B virus surface antigen, after stimulating the body’s immune system. It is able to neutralize the hepatitis B virus infection and protect the body from the hepatitis B virus. A positive hepatitis B surface antibody indicates a previous infection with the hepatitis B virus, or possibly a hepatitis B disease, in which the hepatitis B virus was contracted without the knowledge of a recessive infection, and now the hepatitis B virus has been cleared. The body produces antibodies that are immune to the hepatitis B virus, and the antibodies eliminate the re-infected hepatitis B virus. It is also a sign that the hepatitis B vaccination has been successful in preventing infection with the hepatitis B virus. The higher the concentration of hepatitis B antibodies in the serum, the greater the protection. If the concentration of hepatitis B antibodies is less than 10 mlu/ml, the hepatitis B vaccination is needed to stimulate the body to produce more antibodies and increase the resistance to prevent hepatitis B disease. With positive hepatitis B surface antibodies, the antibodies can bind with the hepatitis B virus in advance, so that the proteins on the surface of the hepatitis B virus change and cannot be adsorbed on the liver cells, cannot enter the liver cells, and cannot carry out the replication of the hepatitis B virus, and may be eliminated by the body. In conclusion, the presence of positive hepatitis B surface antibody is a protective and good phenomenon. It is important to review regularly and enhance the hepatitis B vaccination according to the results to produce more antibodies to prevent the infection of hepatitis B virus.
