Timing of surgery for rheumatic heart disease

In summer, the conscious symptoms of rheumatic heart disease patients are reduced than in winter. Because of this, patients often ignore the summer as a very good time for surgery, and because of factors such as busy farming and hot weather, most patients do not choose summer surgery. In fact, this is a big misunderstanding. 1, For patients with wind heart disease and valve lesions with indications for surgery, surgery in summer is lighter on the heart than in winter, which is conducive to recovery after discharge from the hospital. 2, Nowadays, the inpatient conditions in cardiac centers all over the world are very good, and the wards are centrally air-conditioned, so there is no problem of wound infection because of hot weather. 3.Summer is the summer vacation for students, and summer vacation is longer. Middle-aged and elderly patients with rheumatic valve disease choose summer surgery, and there is sufficient manpower at home to take care of the patients. 4.If you choose to enter the fall surgery, the number of hospitalization suddenly increases, ward capacity is limited, and you have to line up for two to four weeks to be hospitalized. 5. After autumn, especially in winter, the low temperature and poor air quality, in combination with heavy cardiac load, is a test for the heart and respiratory tract. Therefore, summer surgery is not uncommon.
