Is surgery necessary to treat wind heart disease?

The ultrasound of the heart showed the following:The left atrioventricle was enlarged, the right atrioventricular internal diameter was in the normal range, the septum and left ventricular free wall were of normal thickness, and motion was fair. The mitral valve leaflets were thickened, with enhanced echogenicity, junctional adhesions, restricted opening, and a maximum diastolic opening area of approximately 1.4 cm2 with fair closure. The aortic valve was thickened, with restricted opening and acceptable closure. The remaining valves showed no significant abnormalities in morphology, structure, or opening and closing. On multisection exploration, no clear abnormal echogenicity was seen in the left atrium. Doppler examination: mitral antegrade flow was accelerated in diastole, with trace regurgitation; aortic antegrade flow was accelerated in systole, with a mean transvalvular pressure difference of about 39 mmhg and massive regurgitation. Moderate mitral stenosis, moderate aortic stenosis, and massive aortic regurgitation.
