Medical external fixation support usage

There are many types of medical external fixation supports, and different external fixation supports will be chosen according to different diseases, taking orthopedic external fixation supports commonly used in clinical practice as an example. In case of neck pain, joint dislocation or cervical fracture caused by neck trauma, external fixation with a cervical brace or external fixation with a cervical head, neck and chest brace is generally used, and external fixation with a HALO brace may be required if necessary. In the case of the previous types, you can usually put them on yourself, but in the case of HALO’s brace, it usually requires a doctor’s operation under local anesthesia in the operating room before you can put it on, and you cannot just remove it yourself. In the case of the lumbar spine, for example, if the disease is due to lumbar pain, lumbar sprain or lumbar disc herniation or lumbar fracture, it is usually recommended to wear a lumbar brace or a thoracolumbosacral brace for protection, which is generally easier to put on and can be done by the patient alone.
