How to treat high fever and low white blood cells

The first clinical consideration is viral infection with high fever and low white blood cell count. For treatment, antiviral drugs can be chosen, such as ribavirin and oseltamivir phosphate. The use of antipyretic drugs for fever may also lead to a decrease in white blood cells, which does not require clinical intervention. After the fever subsides, the white blood cells will be normal. Meanwhile, in the treatment, the body temperature should be actively controlled. If the body temperature exceeds 38 ℃ or more, you need to take some oral non-steroidal antipyretic drugs, such as ibuprofen. Drink plenty of water, eat a light diet and pay attention to rest. If the fever persists for more than 3-5 days and does not subside, it is recommended to go to the hospital for further examination to clarify the diagnosis and treatment.
