Allergic asthma has a long course, takes a long time to treat, and is prone to recurrent attacks, so it is especially important to follow the “four-in-one” comprehensive asthma treatment program. The “four-in-one” comprehensive asthma treatment program is recommended by the World Health Organization for allergic diseases, which includes correct diagnosis and avoidance of allergens, specific immunotherapy (i.e. desensitization), medication and patient education. 1. Avoidance of allergens: The main lesion of asthma is the presence of chronic allergic inflammation in the respiratory tract. The development and persistence of allergic inflammation in the respiratory tract is closely related to the repeated exposure of the affected child to allergens. Seasonal allergens, such as grass or tree pollen, can cause intermittent symptoms, namely seasonal rhinitis and asthma. Perennially present allergens, such as house dust mites, dust mites, and animal fur are more likely to cause persistent symptoms of allergic asthma and/or allergic rhinitis. Therefore, the correct diagnosis and avoidance of allergens can make the immune system of the child no longer continue to receive the “stimulation” of allergens, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the onset of disease or even no disease. 2, drug treatment: the key is “appropriate”, through drug treatment to gradually improve allergy symptoms. This includes medication for acute attack control and medication for remission. Acute attack medication is to control the existing symptoms of wheezing, reduce the pain of the child, and even save lives, the fast-acting effect is good inhaled ß receptor agonist. The most important remission drugs are inhaled hormones and oral leukotriene receptor antagonists. Therefore, adherence to asthma medication can prevent acute asthma attacks and reduce the number of acute attacks. 3.Standardized immunotherapy: also known as desensitization therapy, is one of the current treatments for allergic diseases such as asthma. The purpose is to normalize the immune system of the child through regular and repeated antigen (allergen) injections, so that the child can gradually “adapt” to the external allergens and thus avoid the occurrence of allergic symptoms. Desensitization is currently the only effective treatment for allergic diseases. At present, there are two forms of treatment, subcutaneous injection and sublingual desensitization, both of which are safe and effective. 4.Patient education: Good patient education can enable parents to have a more comprehensive understanding of asthma in terms of etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and treatment prognosis, improve the child’s medication compliance, timely self-monitoring, more targeted cooperation with treatment, and early recovery!
