Back pain before your period is due to pelvic congestion, uterine congestion or posterior uterus. If it is a mild back pain or swelling, you can consider giving hot water bag or baby warmer for local heat application and taking brown sugar and ginger water, the pain will be slightly relieved. But if the pain is more obvious, you can consider giving medication, such as ibuprofen capsules 3-4 times a day for 2-3 days, which is more obvious to relieve the pain. However, if the back pain continues to worsen and lengthens gradually, it is necessary to go to a specialist hospital for relevant examinations to exclude pathological conditions such as uterine fibroids, endometriosis and ovarian cysts.
