Differentiation of cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage

Differentiation between cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage: First, the pathogenesis is different. Cerebral infarction is due to atherosclerosis leading to occlusion of blood vessels and interruption of blood supply to the brain tissue, resulting in symptoms of neurological deficits. In the case of cerebral hemorrhage, it is mainly due to the rupture of blood vessels and the overflow of blood outside the vessels, which produces pressure on the surrounding brain tissues and leads to the symptoms of neurological deficits. Secondly, both cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage can lead to symptoms of neurological deficits, but cerebral hemorrhage generally has a more acute onset and the symptoms of neurological deficits are heavier than those of cerebral infarction. Thirdly, the difference between cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage can be checked by head CT, which is more sensitive to the early diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage, and high-density shadow can be found after head CT, and the positive rate of CT in the acute stage of cerebral infarction is not high, and nuclear magnetic examination can be performed if necessary.
