It is considered to be mostly safe until at least about 3 months after a kidney transplant, but patients still need to undergo regular review. Kidney transplantation refers to the transplantation of a kidney from a healthy person to a patient who has lost the function of the kidney. While patients may experience loss of function of the transplanted kidney after kidney transplantation, some patients can also experience early renal insufficiency with decreased urine output and increased blood creatinine within 2 weeks of the observation period. Meanwhile, some patients can also develop renal decompensation more than 3 months after the surgery, with a slow progressive increase in blood creatinine; and there may also be infections due to immunosuppressive state. Therefore, patients need to pay close attention to their condition for at least 3 months or so after kidney transplantation surgery before they can be considered basically safe. Patients still need to undergo regular review under doctor’s supervision. After kidney transplantation, patients are advised to follow the doctor’s instructions to take good postoperative care and pay more attention to their own condition, and if any discomfort occurs, they need to consult the doctor in time to avoid serious consequences.
