The factors of urinary tract infections in children include the route of infection and internal causes.
1. Route of infection: the most common route of infection is upstream infection, that is, the pathogenic bacteria from the urethra upstream and into the bladder to cause cystitis, the pathogenic bacteria in the bladder, and then migrate through the ureter to the kidneys to cause pyelonephritis; there are also infections through blood-borne infection, as well as lymphatic infection, and direct spread of infection and other ways.
2. Internal causes: congenital or acquired urinary tract deformity will increase the chance of urinary tract infection; newborns and children with poor anti-infective ability, prone to urinary tract infection, diaper urethra contaminated with bacteria, poor local defense ability is also prone to infection.
Children with urinary tract infections, need to actively seek medical treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
