Can moderate tricuspid regurgitation heal on its own at 25 weeks’ gestation?

Moderate tricuspid regurgitation at 25 weeks’ gestation usually does not resolve spontaneously. The degree of tricuspid regurgitation is classified as mild, moderate and severe, and is related to congenital fetal cardiovascular malformations, fetal hydrops, fetal heart rate abnormalities, and premature closure of the ductus arteriosus, etc.; most of the mild tricuspid regurgitation can be self-cured and does not require special treatment. If it cannot be cured, it does not mean that the fetus must have malformation. For moderate or severe tricuspid regurgitation, most of the regurgitation cannot be cured by itself, and the possibility of self-healing is relatively low, so it is considered that the fetus may have cardiac malformations. Further genetic examination and fetal cardiac ultrasound are needed to clarify the presence of fetal cardiac anomalies to avoid the birth of abnormal newborns. Moderate tricuspid regurgitation at 25 weeks’ gestation requires active hospitalization.
