For recurrent fever caused by viral infections in children, the following medications are prescribed. First, oseltamivir is given to children who have recurrent fever, often with high fever, often accompanied by muscle pain, headache, and poor mental status, if the nature of the infection is influenza A or influenza B virus. Secondly, when ganciclovir dispersible tablets are given to children, if the nature of the infection is EBV, the child may also have a sore throat, pus in the tonsils, or even enlarged liver, spleen, or lymph nodes.
