There is a difference in the drug source, efficacy and main treatment between piercing stone and Tsuge.
1. Drug source: Wear broken stone is the root of the plant of mulberry orange, family Mulberryaceae, which is the root of the plant of the genus Cudrania. Cudweed is the wood of Cudweed, family Moraceae.
2. Effects: Wearing stone has the effects of dispelling wind and clearing heat and dampness, detoxifying and subduing swelling. Cudweed has the effect of nourishing the blood, tonifying the spleen and stomach.
3. Indications: Puncture stone is used for treating bruises, jaundice, mumps, pulmonary tuberculosis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, gonorrhea, amenorrhea, and coughing up blood due to labor injury. Cudweed is used for treating deficiency, women’s disintegration with blood clot, and malaria.
The adverse reactions and contraindications of both Penetrating Stone and Cudrania are not known.
