Bortezomib is of uncertain efficacy in advanced lung cancer and is commonly used in multiple myeloma and set-cell lymphoma. Bortezomib belongs to the commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs in clinic and is often combined with other chemotherapeutic drugs to treat hematologic malignancies, such as multiple myeloma and lymphoma. Chemotherapy can be chosen for advanced lung cancer, but the application of bortezomib has not been proved to have better therapeutic effect in relevant clinical studies, so it is not formally recommended. In addition to chemotherapy, targeted and immunotherapy can also be considered for advanced lung cancer, and new treatment modalities can benefit some patients. Therefore, bortezomib is not a commonly used chemotherapeutic agent for lung cancer and is not routinely recommended.
