A positive urine test for mycoplasma is a test that finds mycoplasma in the urine. Mycoplasma is a microorganism that is smaller in molecular weight than bacteria and larger than viruses. Having a mycoplasma infection is clinically known as a non-gonorrheal urethritis. It may cause itching of the urethra, frequent urination, urgency and painful urination, or you may wake up in the morning and find a thin discharge from the urethra. In this case, it is recommended that if you are tested for mycoplasma, you should have effective treatment. For positive urinary mycoplasma, oral administration of roxithromycin, doxycycline, and azithromycin is recommended, and the cure can usually be achieved after 7-10 days of oral administration.
