Renal disease peritoneal dialysis can usually be reintubated after an infected extubation. Peritoneal dialysis is one of the methods of renal replacement therapy, and its main advantage is that it can maintain a stable hemodynamic state and protect the residual renal function. Peritoneal dialysis can be re-tubed as long as the infection is controlled and the hemodynamics are stable. 1. Infection control: do bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test to understand the causative organisms leading to infection and use effective antibiotics, generally, after 2 weeks of infection control, we can consider re-inserting the tube. 2. Hemodynamic stability: no complications such as breathlessness, chest tightness, heart failure, etc., and good blood pressure control can be considered for re-tubing. Peritoneal dialysis patients are recommended to go to the nephrology department of regular hospitals for standardized diagnosis and treatment, and should not blindly treat themselves to avoid delaying the condition.
