Amoxicillin capsule dosage: For children, the daily dose should be 20-40mg/kg of body weight administered every 8 hours. for infants under 3 months of age, the daily dose should be 30mg/kg administered every 12 hours. Amoxicillin is indicated for bacterial infections and is not recommended for viral infections. It can be used in cases of upper respiratory tract infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus haemolyticus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus or Haemophilus influenzae. It can also be used for genitourinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli, Streptococcus mirabilis or Enterococcus faecalis.
