Lung cancer has become the first malignant tumor in China, and chemotherapy is one of the main means to treat lung cancer. However, due to the lack of selectivity of chemotherapy drugs, it often produces more serious toxic side effects while playing a therapeutic role, and coupled with the physiological, psychological and social factors of patients, it is often difficult to complete the chemotherapy course, which affects the treatment effect. The following aspects should be noted when lung cancer chemotherapy treatment is carried out. First of all, before chemotherapy, patients or family members need to have a basic understanding of chemotherapy. The current chemotherapy regimen can help most patients to relieve their disease and prolong their survival, but different types of lung cancer have different degree of sensitivity to chemotherapy. 2.Side effects of chemotherapy for lung cancer: Chemotherapy drugs can cause toxic side effects such as bone marrow suppression, nausea and vomiting, hair loss, etc. Patients should have certain psychological preparation when receiving chemotherapy and should not be afraid of chemotherapy because of this. Although chemotherapy has certain side effects, but with symptomatic support treatment can reduce or eliminate the side effects produced by chemotherapy. Regarding hair loss, hair can be regenerated after the end of treatment, and wigs can be worn before the hair grows out. 3.Dietary care during chemotherapy: During chemotherapy for lung cancer, patients’ appetite decreases and they feel tired and weak, so their diet should be light and tasty, easy to digest and provide high-calorie, high-protein and vitamin-rich food. The diet should be light, easy to digest, high-calorie, high-protein and vitamin-rich. Spicy and indigestible foods are prohibited. 4, prevention of chemotherapy complications: (1) most chemotherapy drugs have myelosuppressive effects, resulting in low immune function, reduced body resistance, decreased white blood cells, which can easily lead to infection. Patients need to pay attention to personal hygiene, keep the skin and mouth clean, brush the teeth and wipe the body every morning and evening. At the same time, keep indoor air circulation and freshness. In addition, pay attention to the detection of body temperature, early detection of signs of infection. (2) Drink plenty of water during chemotherapy, about 2000ml per day, to facilitate the excretion of chemotherapy drugs and to prevent the precipitation of high concentrations of uric acid to induce kidney stones. (3) Selective use and protection of veins, preferably with PICC, and the limb on the side receiving intravenous infusion should not move too much to prevent drug extravasation caused by the displacement of the puncture needle, causing local tissue necrosis. 5.Post-discharge consolidation treatment: To promote further recovery, patients should maintain a positive attitude towards life after discharge, cooperate with immunomodulatory therapy, adhere to appropriate exercise, but should avoid excessive fatigue, strengthen the patient’s sense of self-protection, help patients improve their self-care ability, do not go to dense crowds, prevent colds, pay attention to rest and regular re-examination.
