How many gallbladder polyps are considered multiple

Gallbladder polyps can be classified as solitary or multiple, usually greater than 1 is multiple. Most gallbladder polyps are benign lesions, and most patients have no symptoms and are found only by occasional physical examination. Whether single or multiple, if a single polyp is less than 1 cm in diameter, the probability of malignancy is very low and does not require surgical treatment. If the size of the polyp is larger than 1cm, whether it is single or multiple, surgery is recommended, because the probability of malignancy increases for polyps larger than 1cm, and the gallbladder should be removed surgically to eliminate the potential malignancy.
