What to do after a stroke

Stroke commonly known as stroke, has a high incidence, high mortality rate, high disability rate, according to statistics, China’s annual new stroke 2 million people, 1.5 million people died of stroke, is the second largest risk factor for death of residents in China, surviving stroke patients about 6 million people, most of whom have varying degrees of disability, not only seriously affect the patient’s standard of living, to their lives This not only seriously affects the patients’ living standards and brings great difficulties to their lives, but also causes a lot of wasted human, material and financial resources, so secondary prevention of stroke is especially important. What should we do if we have a stroke? What should be noted, the following will be briefly discussed. First, one of them is the treatment of the dysfunction left by this cerebral infarction. If there are sequelae left, such as hemiplegia, aphasia and other dysfunctions, it is useless to take medicine for these problems and go for rehabilitation treatment, which should be done when you are in the hospital and do rehabilitation treatment in the community after you are discharged, so as to improve the dysfunction as much as possible; second, prevention of the next attack, which mainly includes the removal of risk factors, diet and exercise, etc. 1, diet, generally low salt and low fat diet, diabetic not only low sugar diet, but also to control the diet, 2, to quit smoking and limit alcohol, smoking may be a risk factor for stroke, so do not smoke, wine to drink less, long-term drinkers to control the daily white wine at about 1 two, beer 1 bottle, wine at about 4 two, 3, cerebral infarction to routine daily antiplatelet drugs, such as aspirin, etc. For hypertension, take antihypertensive drugs to regulate blood pressure, try to control blood pressure below 140/90mmHg, and for diabetes and kidney disease, control it below 130/80mmHg, remember that antihypertensive drugs should be taken every day, and it is better to take long-acting antihypertensive drugs to make blood pressure stable; 4, for hyperlipidemia, take lipid-lowering drugs, and it is better to control LDL below 2.1mmol/l. Lipid-lowering treatment is not only to reduce blood lipids, but also to stabilize atherosclerotic plaques and soften blood vessels; 5, with diabetes to control blood sugar, through diet and exercise, oral medication, and insulin and other methods to control blood sugar, try to make fasting blood sugar control at 4.4-6.1 and to control diet, not overeating; 6, regular, moderate physical exercise in addition to the narrowing of blood vessels, TIA, heart disease, sleep apnea and other diseases. Heart disease, sleep apnea and other diseases for intervention treatment, that will be under the guidance of doctors, as patients and their families should at least understand the above considerations.
