Pain in the body is not bad, but if you resist it, the pain is not good. If you don’t resist the pain, it will go away on its own. Remember, anything you resist will last! Here I will teach you how to eliminate pain by not resisting it. If you have pain in your body, whether it is a headache, stomach ache, shoulder, or wherever, you need to realize when you are in pain that the pain usually comes from two reasons: one is your body telling you that you are going in the wrong direction right now; the other is your body trying to bring you back to the present moment through pain! The first reason is that your body is telling you that you’re doing something wrong: like you’re eating too much, drinking too much, or you’re doing something that’s against your body, so you’re hurting; and the second reason, every time you have pain anywhere, it immediately brings you into the present moment, and you can’t live in an unreal mind anymore. That’s why pain is always good! When you’re in pain, close your eyes and feel it! Then you can do a few processes to clear the pain away. But if you take painkillers, or any number of drugs to stop the pain, the pain will come back again! Because you just put a bandage on it, or temporarily eliminate the pain, you are not eliminating it from the root! So how do you get rid of the pain? Let’s say you have a headache, or any part of your body hurts. You close your eyes, feel where the pain is in your body, and touch it. You can keep touching until you feel the place where the pain is. You say, the pain is here! You notice where the pain is, and then you ask, how big is this pain? In other words, you want to be 100% with the pain. You are not in your mind, but in your body along with this pain! Then you say if you compare this pain to water and pour it into a measuring cup, how big is it? You say it would pour out so much. Then say well, what color is he? You go and notice it. Let’s say it says it’s blue. So this pain here, pouring it in the cup can hold so much, if it goes from 1% to 100%, what is the pain level? Let’s say it’s 80%. Okay, now stop. Then you close your eyes again, open them, and ask where is the pain? Repeat the process. Sometimes you’re surprised because last time the pain was here, but this time the pain went there, it shifted, it’s incredible, and you say okay, go ahead and see how much pain is there? You notice that last time there was so much, and this time it’s only part of it! Because you’re focusing on it! You see, the pain is like a shadow, it’s like darkness, it’s like the ego, and the ego is a shadow. When you shine the light on it, it disappears! But people never shine the light on it, they just run away from that and then imagine in their minds that this pain becomes bigger! Because they don’t turn it off, they run away from it. So the second time you turn off the light, it diminishes and the color even fades! You realize that the pain is not as much as 80% of the degree anymore, only 50% is left!
I assure you, repeat this three to four times, or five times, and the pain will be completely eliminated. Then let’s look at what’s really happening? Because your body gets to your attention, the body doesn’t need to make you hurt anymore, and at the same time you come to the present moment. You create a bigger gap in your mind! So there’s nothing wrong with pain, it’s just bad when you run scared at the sight of it!
