Myeloid means probably acute myeloid leukemia, which has a tendency for MRD to increase after treatment, indicating a tendency for the disease to relapse and that chemotherapy or intensive treatment should be continued. MRD mainly refers to tiny residual lesions.MRD monitoring is an early predictor of relapse and an important guide in determining the intensity of treatment and therapeutic approach after remission.MRD is a biomarker, and positivity indicates that residual lesions have been detected after treatment of acute myelogenous leukemia, and that an active growth in residual lesions can lead to relapse of the disease. A tendency to grow indicates that the current treatment regimen should be adjusted and that the current treatment is no longer controlling the disease. Continued chemotherapy must be given and even intensive treatment must be given to reduce the likelihood of recurrence. Specific drugs include cytarabine, desmethoxyzoxazolam, decitabine, azacitidine, and vinaclat. MRD growth after acute myeloid leukemia treatment should be standardized under the guidance of doctors.
