Herbal remedies for spinal stenosis

Vertebral stenosis belongs to the category of paralysis in Chinese medicine, and the herbal prescriptions for treating paralysis include Cold and Dampness Paralysis Pellet, Si Miao Pill, and Duo Wu Zhansheng Tang. 1. Cold and Dampness Paralysis Granule is composed of Radix Polygoni Multiflori (Prepared), Prepared Radix Chuanwu, Radix Astragali, Radix Cinnamomum Cassiae, Rhizoma Pinelliae and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Stir-fried). It is used for limb joint pain, fatigue or swelling, localized cold, rheumatic arthritis. It is contraindicated for pregnant women, and those with body heat and high fever. 2. Si Miao Pill, composed of Cang Zhu, Cow Knee, Salt Cedar, Coix Seed. It is used for paralysis caused by dampness-heat infiltration (dampness and heat invading the intestines, bladder, pubic area, lower limbs, etc.), which is characterized by redness and swelling of the feet and knees, and pain in the tendons and bones. Pregnant women are advised to use it with caution. 3. Duhu Sheng Tang is used for treating prolonged paralysis, deficiency of liver and kidney, and insufficiency of qi and blood. Symptoms include pain, impotence and weakness of waist and knees, unfavorable flexion and extension of limbs, or numbness, fear of cold and warmth, palpitation and shortness of breath. It is not recommended to use if the paralysis is due to damp-heat syndrome. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time.
