The cause of flat warts is caused by human papilloma virus (HPV) 3, 10, 28, 41 infection, related to the body’s immune dysfunction, mainly direct contact transmission. Chinese medicine treatment: (1) heat and toxin accumulation type: treatment to clear heat and detoxification, dampness and dispersion of knots. (2) Heat-embedded blood stasis type: the treatment is to clear heat and disperse wind, move Qi and activate Blood. (2) Blood deficiency and liver stagnation type: treat by nourishing the blood and detoxifying the toxin, calming the liver. The medicine uses Shengdi, He Shouwu, Panax notoginseng, comfrey, horsetail 15g each, angelica, white peony, red peony, 10g each, raw oyster, ochre, mother of pearl 30g each, decoction in water in 2 times orally, 3 times fumigation of the affected area, 10 doses for a course of treatment. Also: 15g each of Comfrey, Radix Paeoniae, Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Xia Gu Cao, 30g each of Amaranthus, Raw Job’s Tear, Panax notoginseng, Daphyllum, 10g each of Curcuma longa, Andrographis paniculatae, 1 dose daily, decoction in water and external washing of the affected area with part of the decoction.
