What are the symptoms of Yin Qi deficiency

Yin-qi deficiency means yin deficiency and qi deficiency. Yin and qi deficiency may present with symptoms such as dry throat and mouth, shortness of breath and laziness, fatigue (mental exhaustion and physical weakness), night sweating and sweating that worsens with activity. Patients should go to the hospital for medical consultation and treatment when they experience discomforts. Yin qi deficiency is a deficiency of yin and qi, i.e. both qi and yin (deficiency of both qi and yin fluids). It is mostly due to poor mood, uncontrolled diet, over-eating of greasy, spicy and hot food that generates heat in the body and depletes qi and yin, leading to qi and yin deficiency; disease factors, prolonged illness or disease leading to heavy sweating, frequent urination and loss of blood, leading to damage of qi, blood, essence and fluids, resulting in qi and yin deficiency, and so on. It can be treated with medicines such as Pulse Sheng Drink and Yu Ping Feng San. Pulse Sheng Drink has the effects of benefiting Qi and restoring the pulse (making the pulse channels full and smooth by replenishing Qi), and nourishing Yin and generating fluids. It should be used with caution for people with weak spleen and stomach, vomiting, bloating and diarrhea, and cough with excessive phlegm. Yupingfeng San has the effect of benefiting Qi and consolidating the surface to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the surface of the muscle). It should be used with caution for those who suffer from spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with slight movement) or night sweating due to deficiency of yin (sweating abnormally after falling asleep, but sweating stops after waking up). The above drugs should be used under medical supervision.
