What foods to eat to lower high thyrotropin levels

Elevated thyrotropin is commonly found in hypothyroid patients and subclinical hypothyroidism. Food by itself has no therapeutic effect and should not be relied upon for treatment, but should be regulated under the guidance of a physician.
Elevated thyroid stimulating hormone is common in hypothyroid patients and subclinical hypothyroidism. If serum TSH > 10 mU/L combined with hyperlipidemia, it may be accompanied by some chills, easy fatigue, constipation and other symptoms of hypothyroidism, which need to be supplemented with levothyroxine sodium tablets for treatment.
In terms of diet, it is recommended that cruciferous vegetables such as white radish and cabbage can be cooked and eaten, avoiding dipping sauces; high-fat and high-cholesterol foods such as cream and animal offal should be avoided as much as possible. More notably, if hypothyroidism is caused by iodine overdose, iodine intake also needs to be restricted.
Food is not a substitute for medication to play a therapeutic role, and patients with elevated thyrotropin are recommended to undergo further tests to clarify and actively follow up the treatment, which should be standardized under the guidance of a doctor.
