Lung squamous carcinoma stage IVB(4b) is severe.
Lung squamous carcinoma can be categorized into stage I, II, III and IV according to the degree of invasion TNM staging.
Lung squamous carcinoma stage IV is advanced lung squamous carcinoma, while stage IVB is the most serious lung squamous carcinoma, and the survival rate of patients will gradually decrease. Multi-organ metastasis or single organ multi-site metastasis, such as brain, bone, and liver metastasis, can often occur in this stage, which may also be accompanied by obvious symptoms such as body wasting.
In stage IVB of squamous lung cancer, as the patient’s body is invaded by cancer cells in many organs, he/she can no longer tolerate surgical treatment and is usually given chemotherapy or radiotherapy to control the cancer cells. However, as the adverse reactions of chemotherapy or radiotherapy are relatively large and cause great harm to the body, the cure rate and prognosis are not satisfactory.
If diagnosed with stage IVB squamous lung cancer, early and standardized treatment is recommended to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
