The dry heaving of a baby eating a soother may be due to the quality, size and use of the soother, or if the baby is in a period of anorexia.
1. The quality of the soother: If there is a quality problem with the soother and there is a smell of latex or silicone that the baby doesn’t like, the baby may regurgitate when eating the soother.
2. Size of the soother: If the soother is too big, the baby may use the soother in a way that causes the soother to go deeper into the throat, thus causing dry heaving.
3. Pacifier use: If the baby is given a pacifier too often, it may cause the bowel to contract constantly, irritating the bowel and causing the baby to dry-heave.
4. Anorexia: If your baby has eaten a soother before, and then all of a sudden eats a soother and develops dry heaves, it may be due to an anorexic period. It may be because of the anorexia period, this situation is generally not too worried, after a period of time will be normal.
