If white putrid smell is squeezed out from inside the nostril, if it is squeezed out in the nasal vestibule area, consider the possibility of nasal vestibular sebaceous tumor or it may be due to nasal vestibular abscess. If it is nasal vestibular sebaceous tumor, due to blockage of the ductal opening of nasal vestibular sebaceous gland, the ductal shedding epithelium gradually accumulates and forms a retention cyst with bean curd-like substance inside, so it has putrid smell. In the case of nasal vestibular abscess, which is formed by a boil on the nasal vestibule, the nasal vestibule abscess contains a large number of necrotic leukocytes, lymphocytes and bacterial mixture, and will have a white putrid odor. The nasal vestibule is located in the dangerous triangle of the head and face, and if improperly squeezed, it can cause bacteria and foci of infection to flow back into the valveless facial vein, through the ophthalmic vein, and reach the intracranial cavernous sinus, causing cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis or risk of intracranial infection.
