The pituitary gland secretes seven hormones, which are protein peptide hormones that mainly play a role in regulating and controlling human growth, metabolism and reproduction. The first one is thyroid stimulating hormone; the second one is adrenocorticotropic hormone; the third one is luteinizing hormone; the fourth one is follicle stimulating hormone, both of which are gonadotropins; the fifth one is prolactin; the sixth one is growth hormone; and the seventh one is black cell stimulating hormone. Growth hormone mainly promotes growth and development, that is, children’s height is related to growth hormone; adrenocorticotropic hormone is one of the more important hormones in human body, controlling the adrenal secretion of corticotropic hormone related to gonadotropin, which is closely related to human sex hormones; luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone are closely related to human gonadal development; and black cell stimulating hormone is related to sleep.
