Can infantile brain atrophy be cured?

Infantile cerebral atrophy is divided into congenital and secondary, congenital cerebral atrophy can’t be cured by itself, while secondary cerebral atrophy may get better curative effect with timely treatment.
1. Congenital brain atrophy: it is mainly caused by brain development abnormalities, such as malformation of brain development, metabolic brain development abnormalities, improper surgery or improper application of anesthesia at the time of birth, and so on, leading to infant brain atrophy. Generally, it cannot be cured.
2. Secondary cerebral atrophy: it can be caused by hydrocephalus, intracranial hemorrhage, central system infection, ischemic encephalopathy, neonatal stroke and other causes of secondary cerebral atrophy in infants. Early detection and early treatment can achieve better curative effect, mainly according to the cause of the symptomatic treatment, such as cerebral hemorrhage can be given to hemocoagulase hemostasis, mannitol dehydration to lower the cranial pressure and so on.
In summary, congenital cerebral atrophy cannot be cured by itself, and early treatment of secondary cerebral atrophy can achieve better curative effect. If infantile cerebral atrophy manifests, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals in a timely manner, standardized diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of physicians to avoid delaying the condition.
