Is it okay to have light intercourse in the first 3 months of pregnancy

Intercourse is not allowed in the first trimester of pregnancy, mainly because even though it is light, it may cause sexual excitement that can lead to uterine contractions. In the first 3 months of pregnancy, the embryo is still unstable, which can lead to abruption between the gestational sac and the uterine wall, resulting in vaginal bleeding and causing pre-eclampsia or inevitable miscarriage, so intercourse is not allowed in the first and second trimester. It is advisable to give proper rest during pregnancy in addition to better nutrition. It is possible to have sex in the middle of pregnancy, but you must pay attention to gentle movements during sex to avoid rough movements that may cause uterine contractions, resulting in intrauterine oxygen deprivation or delayed intrauterine development of the fetus. Therefore, the frequency of sexual intercourse must be reduced.
