Lip repair surgery is mainly used to repair the poor lip shape caused by macroglossia, cleft lip and palate deformities, congenital deformities such as hemifacial dysplasia and facial clefts, and hereditary factors, all kinds of burns, traumatic surgeries, and lipwriting, etc. The main risks of the following surgeries are as follows: 1. Poor postoperative results and uneven lip arches: especially for those with keloidal physique, the results are often unsatisfactory postoperatively, and they may need to have another surgery to make adjustments; 2, Postoperative infection: If the wound touches water or is contaminated due to improper postoperative care, postoperative wound infection or aggravation of pain may occur. On the day of surgery, the wound can be gently wiped with cotton swabs, if there is dry blood crust, 3% hydrogen peroxide and saline swabs can be used to gently wipe the wound alternately, and then apply eye ointment to protect the wound, which can prevent infection and promote healing; 3. Wound dehiscence: Especially infants can have early lip arch detachment, which is manifested as crying babies. After surgery, the lip arch should be used to reduce the tension in the operation area, and the lip arch should be fixed with wide adhesive tape. In order to prevent the child from scratching the wound or pulling out the lip arch, a small splint bandage can be used to fix both elbow joints of the child. Check the position and fixation of the labial arch daily, and re-fix it if it is loosened; 4. Others: flap necrosis, post-surgical bleeding and hematoma, and scar hyperplasia.
