Do swollen lymph nodes mean lymphoma?

Swollen lymph nodes do not necessarily mean lymphoma. Many causes can lead to swollen lymph nodes, including infections, tuberculosis and, of course, tumors. The most common type of swollen lymph nodes in daily life is inflammatory reactive lymph node hyperplasia, especially in children who have inflammation of the tonsils and may feel some swollen lymph nodes in the corresponding lymphatic drainage area. For this type of enlarged lymph nodes, it often has pressure pain, after the anti-inflammatory, this part of the lymph nodes will have obvious pressure pain disappeared, the lymph nodes will shrink. In fact, people are more concerned about malignant lymph node enlargement, the most common ones are metastatic cancer and lymphoma of lymph nodes. For different causes, it is treated differently. After the swelling of lymph nodes is found, if there is obvious pain, pressure, redness and swelling, then it can be anti-inflammatory first, and if the symptoms disappear after anti-inflammatory, then it is basically an inflammatory lymph node swelling. If it is a painless lymph node enlargement, the corresponding lymph node biopsy may be required.
