Itchy edemas can be caused by systemic diseases, or allergies.
1. Systemic diseases: edema is caused by swelling of the interstitial spaces of the tissues, and the cause may be local or generalized edema due to kidney disease, liver disease, or diabetes. As these diseases cause imbalance of the body’s immunity, toxins cannot be excreted in the blood circulation. So there is an itchy feeling.
2. Allergy: If the edematous place is itchy, it may be an allergic phenomenon, resulting in capillary dilatation and increased vascular permeability, tissue fluid leaks out of the blood vessels, thus causing redness, swelling and itching performance.
Itchy edema, there may be other reasons, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in a timely manner for diagnosis and treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
