After cataract surgery, patients can usually stay in bed for one day. Cataract is a common disease in ophthalmology, which occurs in the elderly. It is usually caused by aging factors, external stimulation, hormone drugs and other reasons, resulting in the clouding of the lens inside the eye, and needs to be treated through surgery to replace the cloudy lens inside the eye with a transparent IOL, in order to restore the eyesight. On the first day after surgery, patients should take proper bed rest and reduce exercise, which will help recovery after surgery. Meanwhile, because the use of gauze and other dressings to wrap the eyes on the first day after surgery will affect patients’ ability to see, and too much activity will easily increase the chance of injuries, such as falls. Usually it will be stabilized after one day of rest.
