Can you donate blood if you are 25 positive for hepatitis B?

You can donate blood if items 2 and 5 of the Hepatitis B 2-half test are positive. Item 2 of the Hepatitis B two-half test is Hepatitis B surface antibody and item 5 is Hepatitis B core antibody. Positive Hepatitis B surface antibody and Hepatitis B core antibody may be a sign of vaccination against Hepatitis B, or a sign of previous infection with Hepatitis B virus which has been completely cured. People who are positive for Hepatitis B Surface Antibody and Hepatitis B Core Antibody usually have no replication of the Hepatitis B virus in their bodies. Therefore, from the analysis of hepatitis B two-half tests alone, people with positive hepatitis B surface antibody and hepatitis B core antibody can donate blood, and the blood donated by this group of people for clinical treatment will not lead to hepatitis B virus infection in the recipients. It is recommended to complete the relevant examinations such as immunity routine, coagulation function and blood routine before donating blood, and to be evaluated by a physician to see if they are qualified to donate blood. Regulated blood donation will not jeopardize the health of the donors, and it is advocated to donate blood without compensation in order to save more lives.
