EKG sinus arrhythmia means that the heart still beats with the sinus node as the pacing point, but the rhythm is irregular and is a common clinical arrhythmia.
Sinus arrhythmia occurs most often in adolescent males, and some are asymptomatic, while others may have symptoms such as palpitations, chest tightness, and dizziness.
Sinus arrhythmia can be caused by physiologic reasons such as exercise, lack of sleep, and mood swings. It can also be caused by diseases such as hyperthyroidism, myocarditis, or by medications such as digoxin and atropine.
It is recommended to go to the hospital for review after the appearance of sinus arrhythmia on electrocardiogram, to check whether it is caused by cardiac lesions or other disease factors, and to carry out timely treatment.
