The process of removing protective clothing cannot be briefly summarized, proceed as follows: 1. Remove protective eyewear and place in disinfectant solution. 2. Undo the protective clothing, at this point it is best to have the assistance of another person. 3. Remove gloves, disposable gloves should be turned inside out and placed in a medical waste bag. 4. Remove protective clothing and place inside out in a medical waste bag. 5. Remove shoe covers and place them in the medical waste bag with the inside facing out; (wash or sanitize hands). 6. Remove the mask, gently hold the mask with one hand, remove the mask with the other hand and place it in the medical waste bag, taking care that both hands do not touch the face. 7. Hollow your fingers back into the work cap, gently remove the cap with the inside facing out and place it in the medical waste bag. 8. Wash your hands, taking care to wash and sanitize them thoroughly with the seven-step hand washing technique. 9. Enter the clean area, shower, change clothes and leave.
