Lower esophageal Ca means lower esophageal cancer. If upper gastrointestinal fluoroscopy or chest CT indicates lower esophageal cancer, gastroscopy and biopsy will be needed to clarify the pathological diagnosis. If the pathological diagnosis of esophageal cancer is confirmed, other examinations, such as abdominal ultrasound or CT, neck lymph node ultrasound, etc., are needed to check whether metastasis has occurred in other parts of the body. If there is no distant metastasis, lower esophageal cancer may still be removed surgically, and after surgery, some patients may need local radiotherapy and systemic adjuvant chemotherapy according to the pathological stage. If distant metastasis has been found at the time of diagnosis, systemic chemotherapy should be the main treatment, which can also be combined with local radiotherapy.
